The connection to the school
The instructor at DaoDeUS was personally trained, examined and approved to teach by Master A. A. Khokhlov of the Daoist Center Dao De. Master Khokhlov received the teaching from Grandmaster Dmitry Artemyev, a direct disciple of the school’s Patriarch, the Teacher of Single Yang.
DaoDeUS teaches the broad Northern method within that school connection. The curriculum and the instructor’s authorization define what is taught here. Questions beyond that teaching remit are referred to Master Aleksey and the school.
What guidance looks like
You receive instructions in live classes and practise them between meetings. You can ask about the instructions, describe difficulties and discuss your progress with the instructor.
Continuing with the same teacher allows those conversations to build on your previous work. The instructor can return to an earlier question and explain what needs attention before you proceed.
A private introduction
The instructor shares their personal introduction and history with the school during your introductory conversation. You can ask about their training, how classes are conducted and what would be expected of you.
Every new student begins with this free conversation. It gives you an opportunity to meet before making a decision about study, and gives the instructor an opportunity to assess suitability.
